Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

Here's hoping everyone has had a wonderful summer spending time with family and friends, creating timeless memories visiting new places, and most of all, wasting time stitching.  Its even better when you get to do all of this and more.

Catherine Theron's
Travel-Sized Quaker Sewing Roll

In early August, the members of Tudor Rose gathered together to begin learning how to assemble this year's Stitch-A-Long, Catherine Theron's Travel-Sized Quaker Sewing Roll.

Betty H., a very talented member of Tudor Rose who has finished many lovely items for other members, shared her knowledge of finishing techniques and even passed along a few tips.  Betty walked the members through the steps to easily complete the finishing of our sewing roll.  We were even fortunate enough to see a sewing roll already completed.

One of Betty's handy tips was how to identify
the shape and pattern size of pinking shears.
Check out the picture, you'll see.

Summer afternoon ~~ summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.
